Thurso East Sweater (English)

£6.95

This pattern is in English.

Thurso East Sweater is a chunky, oversized knit featuring a simple cable pattern throughout, creating a subtle texture similar to ripples on the sand.

The sweater is worked from the top down. First the back is worked back and forth with short rows to shape the back. Stitches are then picked for the left and right fronts along the slanted edges of the back. A combination of short rows and increases are worked to shape the neckline. The fronts are then joined to work back and forth; once complete, the front and back are joined to work the body in the round. Sleeve stitches are picked up around the armhole opening and short rows are worked for additional shaping. Sizes 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 work a gentle taper to the sleeve. The body and sleeves are finished with classic ribbing and bound off using the Italian bind-off technique. Finally, stitches are picked up and knitted in stockinette stitch along the neck edge and bound off with a simple knit over knit bind off.
